Cottonwood Pines Gallery is a curated stop in Carmine for art, antiques, oil lamps, nautical pieces, vintage frames, books, paper, and unusual objects selected because they made us stop and look. We are not trying to have everything. We are trying to have the right things — pieces with character, history, display potential, or a story worth continuing.
The shop is just down the road from the heart of the Round Top antique show corridor. Some pieces are beautiful. Some are strange. Some are useful in the way that a well-made old thing is always useful. Some are simply interesting — objects that caught our attention for a reason and ended up here because they deserved a second audience.
Curated
Selected for character, story, and display potential — not volume.
Changing
Inventory shifts often. What's here today won't always be here tomorrow.
Connected
Tied to the Round Top antique world, Movie Poster Works, and a collector's instinct.
Hours & Visits
By Appointment, Open When There
Cottonwood Pines is mostly open by appointment, during parts of the Round Top show seasons, and occasionally by chance when we are on the property.
That flexibility is part of how the shop works. Time away from the building is often time spent finding, buying, researching, repairing, and bringing new pieces back into the mix. We like to shop too.
Please contact us before making a special trip, especially outside the spring and fall Round Top shows.
The unusual, memorable, one-of-a-kind pieces that make the hunt worthwhile. Some are beautiful, some are strange, some are useful, and some simply make you stop and look.

Show Season
During the Round Top Shows
During the spring and fall Round Top shows, Cottonwood Pines may be open more often, with new pieces moving in and out as the season develops. The schedule can vary because we are often out in the field — shopping, sourcing, delivering, or working between Carmine and Houston — while the show is happening around us.
If you are in the area, reach out. If we are open, stop by. If we are not, we may still be able to coordinate a time that works. Show season is when things tend to move fastest, and it is a good time to be in touch if you are looking for something specific or just want to see what has come in.
Typically late March through early April in the Round Top area.
Fall Shows
Typically late September through early October.
Services
Frame Repair at Cottonwood Pines
Some old frames do not need to be replaced. They need a little help.
Through Cottonwood Pines and Movie Poster Works, we can help with many practical frame repair needs, including glass replacement, broken joins, basic stabilization, hardware, wires, D-rings, paper backers, and simple fitting or finishing work.
More complex repairs can be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Cottonwood Pines is exploring ways to make select antique oil lamps usable as modern display lighting while preserving their character. The first focus is Aladdin oil lamps and related oil-lamp pieces, with upgrade concepts that may allow certain lamps to become practical display pieces without losing the charm that made them worth saving.
This is not about turning every antique into a gadget. It is about finding thoughtful ways for old objects to live again.
Cottonwood Pines is also a connection point for local artists who need thoughtful framing support. Through Movie Poster Works, we can help a limited number of Carmine and Round Top area artists think through framing, presentation, preservation, and show-season display needs.
This is intended to stay small, personal, and practical. We are not a framing factory, and we are not trying to be. But if you are an artist preparing for the shows and need someone to talk through framing options, presentation approach, or conservation-minded choices for your work, we are a reasonable place to start that conversation.
Custom Framing
Found Something During the Shows? Frame It Right.
If you find art, posters, prints, photographs, paper collectibles, or meaningful objects during the Round Top shows, Movie Poster Works can help you think through how to frame, display, and preserve them.
Movie Poster Works is the framing side of the MPW-CWP world, focused on preservation-minded custom framing for pieces that deserve more than a quick frame job.
Some pieces need more than basic repair. For artwork, frames, paper items, or older objects that may require specialized attention, we can discuss options and, when appropriate, help coordinate with qualified restoration or conservation specialists.
We do not promise that every item can or should be restored, and we do not perform all restoration work in-house. What we can do is help start the conversation.
Not every old thing can be saved, and not every repair is worth what it costs. We would rather be honest about that than overpromise. If something is worth discussing, we will tell you. If it is not, we will tell you that too.
